I'm not a real frequent poster, as you can probably guess. Between work and whatnot, the memory of this place keeps eluding me...*sigh*
Heard from the bigwigs that pretty soon I'll be moved to an another department, one that does home installs. I'm not particularly enthused about it, but hey, it keeps the bills paid! I just home that I don't get moved two or three towns over, the commute is going to KILL me.
I found I am slipping deeper and deeper into depression lately, even to the point I want to burst into tears at any moment, I guess I'm not quite strong enough to break the habits I have that lead to this crushing sense of oblivion, which fuels my depression. Which, of course, I just learned that my entire family suffers from this deeply and I'm actually contemplating taking meds for it, but I think work would frown on me popping happy pills.
Oh well, as long as you are alive, there is always hope! |

In other news, my rampant head/teeth pain, coming from not being able to go to a dentist for almost 14 years has returned with a vengeance upon me. I have to have root canals, extractions, even braces now. So take it from me kiddies, oral hygine is SUPER IMPORTANT, or else you will wish you had never been born from the pain you will experience. I actually left Ota much earlier than I had planned to because of it, and the entire time I was wishing for either a bus, train, stray bullet, meteor from the sky would crush me so I wouldn't have to feel this pain anymore, and when I went to the doctor on Sunday, they gave me antibiotics....and VICODIN.
Haven't taken any yet, but the bottle is sitting on my desk, leering at me. But since I can't dope and drive, I really can't afford to take any. Antibiotics seem to be working pretty good right now, but since my pre-surgery appointment is on the 31st, coupled with potential jury duty, makes it a LOOOOONNNG LOOOONG time till they rip my teeth out and give me relief. |

well, though Ota still goes on for one more day, I'm done. 2008 was great because of JAM Project and meeting up with old online friends for the first time, but 2009 was just meh. There really weren't any super awesome guests, and all of the panels either dealt with cosplay, lolita, or anime shows. And while the Gundam panel was pretty darn awesome, the mecha panel and shonen were pretty lame all around. And the lines. Lines for pre-reg, lines to get in, lines for panels and so on.
Not to mention on Friday, my dreaded toothache/headache reared its ugly, UGLY head yet again, making moving or even BREATHING a test in pain endurance. And of course, owing to my meek, shy, lame personality, i took mebbe five pictures of cosplayers, all piggybacking on other people's requests. I took a bunch of pictures of lines though, since it seemed to be the only thing I was capable of doing.
Suffice to say, unless Ota gets a super cool guest, I won't be going back. The amount of money spent to spend most of my time looking at people and not having the guts to say something to them is making me rather sad/angry. Of course, seeing as how I will be 29 at the end of the year hanging out with the majority of 16-18 year olds makes me feel INCREDIBLY creepy/pathetic as I'm getting too old for the game, plus it just makes me feel 100x worse than I do on a daily basis. |

Wow.....its been awhile since I've come prowling around here. Not really much has been going on lately, just working an INCREDIBLE amount of overtime and such, to the point that I'm exhausted daily, and almost crash the car when I drive home! I only really catch up to my sleeping when Sunday rolls around, and I usually nap for oh.....13 or 14 hours. It really sucks since Sunday is really my only day off nowadays, and I spend it in bed? It really sucks.
Otacon is slowly making its way into my future plans, taking a family camping trip in June, and I have to find a decent hotel for Ota sometime before then. SO in the meanwhile I will keep plugging away at work, hoping this will even out before the summer, since I don't want to be a zombie by then. |

| THE ZOMBIE LIVES AGAIN |

Wow...its been 10 weeks? How the time has flown....Nothing much happening on my end, just making money and spending it as fast as possible. Been picking up PS3 games like crazy, plugging away at Fallout 3, headshotting zombies and raiders is strangely.....relaxing. Picked up Soul Calibur 4 and DC vs Mortal Kombat, and while the former is kinda fun, but short.....and DCMK is just funny, in a bad way.
Anime wise, I've caught up to my lists, and only have a few rare, ultra expensive shows left to fill out. Like Dunbine Vol 12. Other than that, been hitting the BB every Friday for the next weeks releases, though it seems the closer it gets to X-Mas, the fewer and fewer shows are showing up. Oh well, there is always next year! |

Well, things aren't looking so good. My company is looking at letting go about 2000 some people real soon, and the boss went to the meeting today to find out more about it, so I'll find out if I still have a job in the future, since my 60 month trial period ends next July. So I'm waiting with baited breath!
In other news, I finally broke down and bought a PS3, mostly for the Blu Ray goodness, and for a couple of games that interested me. I also got Dragon Quest 4, and pretty much ran straight through it, and I hope 5 and 6 are still coming, so I can finally play them. My anime collection is still growing by leaps and bounds, and I'll soon run out of room on my shelf yet again.... |

Well, Ota 2008 has come and gone, and I thought I should just give a report on how things went!
I got on the road a little before 1 p.m. and while traffic wasn't terribly bad, it took about 5 hours total before I got to the....hotel (though calling it a hotel would probably be stretching it a bit.) The place I stayed at was little more than a glorified truck stop with some rooms overhead, and while it wasn't a AWFUL place, the stench of probably 20 years or diesel and cigarettes kinda made my head hurt a bit.
I swung by the con at around 5 p.m. to pre-reg, but since I neglected to look up parking, I spent a few minutes weaving through traffic and cosplayers and finally found a spot. I left the parking garage and began my trek to the con.
About 2 hours later, walking mostly in circles, my GPS phone becoming increasingly unreliable, my saviours, Lu and Dan came to my rescue. I'll always be thankful you came to my rescue guys!
The wait in line was long, but the speed picked up the later it got. A few minutes after I got out, Phil, Anita, Jack and Kevin showed up and mostly we raved about the upcoming JAM Project concert on Friday. At about 9:30, I decided I should head on back to the parking garage and try to find a good route back to the hotel.
Now, if the above hasn't clued you in yet.....I have probably the worlds worst sense of direction. If its a place I haven't been before, I'll either get lost getting there, while I'm there, or leaving there. So I don't have to say that I got lost yet again, and since my phone was dying and my sense of where I parked my car had failed me, I was prepared to call Lu and my folks to tell them if they didn't see or hear from me the following morning, to check the morgues.
Anyways, at around 11:30, a kindly Middle Eastern man offered me a cab ride, and he told me where to go. So with that, I got back to the hotel room at around 1 am....and fell asleep.
As you can guess, when I awoke Friday, my legs felt like rubber, my feet were pulsing, and while I REALLY wanted to go to the Funi Q&A, my body refused to listen. So I finally dragged myself out of bed at around 11:00 and made it to the con at around 12, hoping to nab some cool gear before I headed over to artist alley to meet everyone.
Got lost for two hours.
Finally got to Dealer's room, and only bought a few dvds and a JAM CD. After that, I headed over to Artist's Alley (got lost AGAIN) and met up with everyone in time for us to head to JAM Concert.

After that, we headed back to the con for the Gundam panel, which I thought was going to be a half serious/ half fun panel became TOTALLY AWESOME about....20 seconds in. (However, the guy sitting next to me was a TOTAL ASSHAT, being loud and acting like he was either insanely funny or deadly serious.....NOT). The day then ended, with me heading back to my car and hotel (DIDN'T GET LOST! WOOHOO!)
Finally, we come to Saturday. I was feeling a bit better, so I headed out early, hoping to hit dealer's room before JAM Q&A started, and spent more money there (MORE THAN I SHOULD HAVE!) until I realised that the Q&A was starting in about....7 minutes....After I ran as fast I could, I finally got into the Q&A near the end of the line.
JAM Q&A was....I'll be honest about 50/50 in terms of questions. Some were good, like future projects or musical inspirations, but the almost salivating fans kinda dragged everything down. Then it was time for autographing! I hurdled my way down to the autograph session and made it in just before the last three people came in! However, the guy behind me started up going on about how awesome Kageyama is, which I was like, HELL YES before I turned and realized that it was a Goku cosplayer who only wanted his DBZ DVDs signed. I almost became ANGRY WITH RAGE before I decided to just let him go off on his tangent. I had already decided to have JAM sign my CD, but as I got closer, I thought about getting them to sign the Ota booklet but common sense won in the end.
However, I had planned on saying at least something to all the members, but when Kageyama said "Thank You" and shook my hand.....I just had a smile on my face and kinda drifted through the rest of the day. I then returned to the the Dealers for a few last minute purchases before I returned to artist alley and get Phil's artbook (which despite the naysayers, I found to be really funny, and had pretty sweet art in it too. Thanks again for the signatures!)
Sadly, I heard that my job might strike on Monday, and I would be needed there in case something happened. So with a heavy heart, I said goodbye to everybody (I felt really bummed) and headed back to the hotel.
Then of course, all day today I was filled with a deep sadness as I left Baltimore, wishing I could have stayed and told the guys at ADV that while I have always been a staunch supporter of theirs, if they didn't release Dunbine 12 soon, I would introduce my foot to their rear ends. Still pisses me off....
Then again, I heard that my uncle died this morning, at least I think he was my uncle...(I'm not too sure what he was to me, but I had to go meet family to tow the line.) And of course, a few minutes ago, I found out that my job wasn't gonna strike, that a deal had been made and only awaits the final go ahead.
So I would like to say this about my job....
SCREW YOU FOR MAKING ME MISS THE LAST DAY OF OTAKON BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am not dead, rather I am just horrendously lazy, and plus, nothing really good has come around worth talking about. But, for updating sakes, here's whats new!
1. One more year until I get more job security (YAY!)
2. Got a hotel ready for Otakon (DOUBLE YAY!!)
3. I got banned from the IRC channel I visit, which is rather odd......
I recently decided to get AIM again, since it pays to keep in touch with my friends, but its been so long, who knows if they even use it or if they have updated their IDs....Oh well |

Jeez, I really should staple a reminder to my forehead to update more often...oh well.
Well, its been pretty good in all respects since last time, I have a stable income, and I can buy things I want now, namely anime and a better TV setup. A new 26 in. LCD, a HDMI compatiable DVD player, and coming soon, delicous HD TV cable box. Other than that, a search for a friend of the female persuasion would make sense now, but I'm kinda apathetic to the whole thing now, since I'm 27 now, the whole thing seems moot now. Not many anime female anime fans who aren't 12 are around here, but it shouldn't matter, right?
I plan on going back to school for my Comp Sci degree when I finally get my head over water in regards to debt, which would hopefully be sometime next year. Add to that free school, I can hardly pass that up.
I'm getting so fat now, I need to find some good exercises for me to do, since nothing I do seems to work. I hate looking like this, so I might make that tired New Years resolution to lose weight, only to drop it after I eat more DELICIOUS coconut creme cake from Tastycake.....mmmmmmm tasty. |

Wow, time for another poorly timed and horribly out of date update! Hooray!
Well, finally moved on my own about 3 months, and its been pretty hellish, since my bro just came off of foot surgery and hasn't really been able to assist with the bills, so I'm taking to picking up the slack, since it really sucks having little to money everyday...oh well.
Work is going about 50/50 these days. I go in for my CDL license test in a little over a week, and have to do some reviewing for that, and work and my paychecks have been pretty fricking sweet lately, I'm actually able to...GASP!! Buy more anime and games, which seems to do if nothing else, relax me, even though it'll take me a while to get through everything I haven't seen yet!
But the bad part....I'm pretty much laughed at pretty much all day by coworkers because I tend to be a little spacy naturally, which draws big lawls from the guys, which wouldn't be too bad, if it WASN'T ALMOST EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR....add to the fact I don't have a girlfriend and well....you know. I deal with it pretty well most days, but I think my temper is getting shorter and shorter because of it, so I get lectured about how I shouldn't do this or that blahblahblah and get dirty looks because of it, which makes me even more cranky.
Oh well, there is always tomorrow to make me calm down and not be bitchy, hurrah! And with that, I say goodbye, at least until I remember I still have this and update again.... |

Sheesh, lose your email and your password as well as nearly ALL your links for the past two years will make anybody go crazy...
So, I really have to stick to the near regular updates now, since I actually have something resembling a stable life again, as well as having money to spend, (which is AWESOME beyond belief!) Aside from racking up more animes and a metric ton of video games (seven or so....damn my weak willpower) I've kinda hit a slump, not really to watch anything aside from some random vids on Youtube....which is sad, since its been quite a while since I could buy more anime...oh well, I can't wait to pick up the Gunbuster set in the next few days...and that will probably be worn out from use. I also picked up the Cromartie DVDs for only 30 bucks...and I plan on watching that shortly. |

Wow...its been a long time since I've been out here, so time for some updates I suppose. Well, I finally landed the Verizon job, which pays a pretty penny so I should be able to move out very soon, and pay off all my bills. Awesome!
However, it IS line work, which is like....the 3rd most dangerous job you can even DO, since you'll have 23 THOUSAND volts of electricity flowing above my head...which is kinda scary I guess. But the best part is, after a year and a half, I can try to get out of it and go on to something safe...which is great. So I might have a reason to not update....if I'm dead. But hey, I'm not going to harp on it, since I don't plan on dying any time soon. |

Well, I just took the test for the job at Verizon....It was for a service tech, which was way up north just outside of DC, which I NAILED and was only one of the few out of 20 to make it. Now, I probably won't get that job, but it opens HUGE oportunites down the line, which I'm psyched for, but in the meanwhile I'll be stocking shelves to make enough money to survive for quite a while, so things are majorly up!
Otherwise, I'm counting the days until GGG goes for sale, which hopefully might be sometime this year, plus pick up the rest of FMA, which I am so sorely behind in getting, and dling more robot OSTs than I can count....so all in all, its a pretty good week. Now I just have to clean my room and organize everything in it, which I'm actually looking forward too! I think I'm a bit OCC when it comes to stuff like that... |

Yes, yet again I got bitched at because I haven't found a job yet, and get all sorts of nasty things said about me. Such fun! And my kid brother is so depressed since he can't hack his job and he's scared to death about what's going to happen to him....at least he gets SSI....
In other news, I finally completed SRW OG on both routes! Huzzah for me! And I finally broke down and saw some of the absolutely crap-tastic vids on War For Earth on Youtube...and lolled hard at the TERRIBLE acting. Also I've been playing some of my old skool PS1 games and enjoying them immensely, so I can't complain about that...
Other than that, here's hoping I get a call tomorrow! |

Well, still haven't found any work since I got laid off, and the folks are chompinga at the bit to scream my head off. I can't say I blame them, but I can't just magic up a job, especially one that pays halfway decently...I can't make it on 6 bux an hour, just ain't gonna happen. It doesn't help my bro landed a job so quick, after only one day....le sigh...
Oh well, I already beat Super Robot Taisen on the Ryu route, gonna try and finish Kyosuke soon, then go back to waiting for OG2. And count the days until GGG gets on DVD. Such fun! |

Well, got let off my new electrican job today. They said that I didn't have enough experience for the job, so I was let go. Which sucks because I now have no job and hence, no money to pay bills or move out. So I have to hit the pavement tomorrow and everyday until I get a new job, which I hope pays somewhat well....and I have to get one NOW! Which is super depressing in and of itself, but we just have to pick up and move on....and after searching for the past few hours, I'll probably play some games until I go to sleep....such fun! |
